Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) at Going

The DEI committee at Going focuses on transparency, accountability, and encouraging growth. Going helps people travel and experience the world—and we want our team to reflect the diverse world we live in.

Why do we conduct annual DEI surveys?

There’s no finish line when it comes to creating a thriving DEI-focused community inside and out. These surveys provide a stepping stone for our continued growth and document our progress along the way.

Our transparency isn’t only a commitment to our members but also our team. We work directly with leaders at Going to create a better space for hiring and making business decisions with DEI in mind.

As a company with under 100 employees, we aren’t required to track U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission data. We know this information is important, so we do it ourselves and publish it.

We create policies that support people to be their best selves, whatever that may look like.

Accessibility.

We’re a fully remote company with people across the US and a few countries. Folks don’t need to relocate to join our team.

We offer a $500 per quarter Live Your Best Work Life perk to get what you need. Whether it’s an ergonomic chair, a second monitor, or an air purifier, you can get what makes you feel comfortable and productive (and keep it too).

Balance.

Work should fit into life; not life should fit into work.

Our 12 week paid parental leave policy is gender-neutral and inclusive of all parents, including those who adopt or use alternative methods. This benefit is available immediately to all full time employees from Day 1.

Use your Friday as needed—heads-down time with no obligations or a chance to take your family to Disneyland without weekend crowds.

See the world, visit loved ones, and experience life in the same way we encourage our members to.

We talk the talk and walk the walk by providing time off specifically for physical and mental health. It can be used for therapy! We also partner with TalkSpace and Teladoc to provide therapy to all employees.

We recognize that we don’t observe every holiday, but employees are encouraged to take time off to celebrate theirs.

You should have time to give back to your community without taking a “PTO” day.

Training.

Anti-bias training for all interviews:

We give all candidates the space to be their authentic selves in whatever form that looks like. It’s up to us and our hiring managers to learn how to make inclusive decisions.

Third-party workshop partners:

Over the last two years, we partnered with She Geeks Out, a company focused on DEI initiatives, to help us continue to grow. Having a third-party vendor facilitate these meetings provides a blank slate with no internal biases.

DEI Committee and DEI Liaisons:

Our team is passionate about creating an inclusive environment and culture that can be seen in the daily work across the company.
