ELIOT LIPP live (DarkParty.Hefty.Mush.EasDev - NYC) Creating songs that XLR8R says, “tickle days after the last spin,” Eliot Lipp combines hip-hop influenced drum programming with the vintage synthesizer sounds found in the cutting edge electronic music of the 70s. E’s early career saw him vigorously honing his skill on the club circuit where his fresh and daring take on hip-hop impressed Scott Herren (Prefuse 73) so much that he put out his 2004 debut LP on Eastern Developments. Subsequent releases on Hefty Records have continued to expand his audience and refine his craft. Eliot killed it when we had him in earlier this year for his Mush record release party for an insane crowd... expect more of the same this time around. |

LEO 123 dj set (DarkParty.Ghostly-Chicago) As ex-hip hop/electronic buyer for Amoeba Records LA, LEO 123 spent time soaking up anything and everything beat related that was brought into the store, even turning folks like Jay-Z, Madlib and many other LA music lovers onto new music. Recently highlighted as an alum in URB Magazine's 'NEXT 100,' Leo 123 is finally getting recognition for his own production work & due to collaborations/remixes with Eliot Lipp, Subtitle, M.E.R.L, John Hughes, STS9 and many others. Future plans include a Leo 123 full-length album for Mush Records, as well as the anticipated DARK PARTY full-length debut collaboration side-project of Leo 123 & Eliot Lipp (mixed by Josh Eustis of Telefon Tel Aviv). |

RADIUS live (Consumers/TSLOS - Chicago) A focused multi-dimensional instrumentalist, South Chicago native RADIUS puts his hiphop production/beatmaking reputation secondary. Highly influenced by the likes of Jaydee/J Dilla, Madlib, Kankick, The Rza, Organize Noize, Pete Rock and various electronic instrumentalists, he started making a name for himself strictly through performing in local beat battles, showcases, selling independent releases. 2008 has been hectic, with his release of the 'Radiushead,' (his collection of Kid A/Amnesiac Radiohead remixes available for free download), as well as the release of Radius' first full length release 'Neighborhood Suicide' on The Secret Life of Sound label. |
