How to transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards® points

Chase Ultimate Rewards® points are the transferable points currency earned by Chase travel credit cards.
You can maximize the value of Chase points by transferring them to travel partners like airlines and hotels, and then booking using points directly with those partners.
How to transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points
- Log in to your Chase account and select Ultimate Rewards
- Scroll down to Transfer points to partners.
Tapping it opens a new window.
- View the list of transfer partners.
You’ll see a list of all transfer partners. Ones with transfer bonuses will appear at the top, but you can scroll down to see the full list. You can also use the tabs to sort by hotels or airlines.
- Select the transfer partner you want to transfer points to.
After selecting an airline or hotel partner, tap the blue Transfer Points button.
- Confirm your frequent flyer number (or hotel loyalty program number) .
- Enter how many points you want to transfer.
You can transfer points in increments of 1,000. When ready, tap next.
- Review transfer details and tap Submit.
How to connect a frequent flyer program to your Chase account
Link ahead of time so you'll be ready to transfer points when a points deal comes.
- Select the transfer partner you want to link. Follow steps 1-4 above to find the transfer partner.
- Once at the transfer partner’s page, tap Transfer points.
- Enter your frequent flyer number from the airline.
It will look like this. Tap Next.
- You can now transfer points to the airline, or exit the transfer. Your accounts are linked for a future transfer.
Important reminders
Transfer times vary. Most point transfers happen instantly, but some can take up to 7 business days.
Points transfers are final. Once you move credit card points to a transfer partner, you cannot move them back.
You can enroll in and link a frequent flyer program beforehand. This way, you’ll be ready to make the points transfer when you see a points deal.
Only transfer the amount of credit card points you need to make a booking.
Chase transfer partners
Chase has 11 airline partners and three hotel partners. You can transfer your Ultimate Rewards® points to any of these partners.
Chase airline transfer partners
The following are the 11 airline programs that are Chase transfer partners:
- Aer Lingus AerClub
- Air Canada Aeroplan
- Air France / KLM Flying Blue
- British Airways Executive Club
- Emirates Skywards
- Iberia Plus
- JetBlue TrueBlue
- Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer
- Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards
- United MileagePlus
- Virgin Atlantic Flying Club
All points transfer at a one to one (1:1) ratio, which means that one Chase point is equivalent to one mile or point with all of these loyalty programs, once transferred.
Anecdotally, transfers to all these partners are relatively instantaneous, with one exception: transfers to Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer usually take 24 hours to process.
Chase hotel partners
Chase’s currently has three hotel transfer partners.
- IHG Rewards
- Marriott Bonvoy
- World of Hyatt
All points transfer at a 1:1 ratio to these programs. Transfers to IHG Rewards and World of Hyatt are instant, but transfers to Marriott may take a day or two.
Transferring points to hotels rarely maximizes your points' value, except for transfers to World of Hyatt.
Cards that earn Chase points
The following cards earn flexible Chase points that you can transfer to airline and hotel partners:
Cash-back Chase credit cards
Four Chase cards are technically cash-back rewards cards, but if you hold one of the three travel cards mentioned above, you could combine your Chase points, allowing you to convert your cash-back points into travel points.
