Caring about diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) ensures that we provide and maintain an environment for our employees to feel safe and work as their true, authentic selves. I want people to feel represented and get the support they need to perform their jobs to their best abilities. It's very draining to hide and change parts of yourself out of fear that you will not be perceived as professional enough or respected. This passion motivates me to advocate for everyone else to show up as they are; they are here at Going because of who they are.
It's been awesome. It's nice to know that a DEI committee exists in a start-up like this and truly cares about us as employees.
