Citi transfer partners

Citi boasts a wide range of transfer partners, but it is important to be aware that not all partners transfer at 1:1 ratio. Actual ratios depend on the specific partner and the Citi card you hold. These means while Citi offers great value, its transfer partners are not the most beginner-friendly. 

Citi airline transfer partners

Here are Citi's airline transfer partners:

• Aeromexico Rewards
• American Airlines
• Avianca LifeMiles
• Cathay Pacific
• Emirates Skywards* 
• Etihad Guest
• EVA Air
• Air France/KLM Flying Blue
• JetBlue True Blue
• Qantas 
• Qatar Airways Privilege Club
• Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer
• Thai Royal Orchid Plus
• Turkish Miles and Smiles
• Virgin Atlantic Flying Club

Most partners have a 1:1 transfer ratio for the Citi Strata Elite (SM) and Citi Strata Premier® cards, which means that 1 Citi ThankYou point becomes to 1 airline mile.  

However, Emirates Skywards is an exception: Its ratio is 1:0.8, which means 5 Citi points becomes 4 Emirates Skywards miles. 

Other Citi cards also have access to transfer partners, but the transfer ratio is lower. 

Citi hotel partners

Citi also offers the following hotel transfer partners:

• All Accor Live Limitless (1 ThankYou Point = 0.5 Accor points)
• Choice Privileges (1: 2 points)
• Leaders Club (1: 0.25 points)
• Preferred Hotels and Resorts (1:4 points)
• Wyndam Rewards (1:1)

Retail transfer partner

In addition, Citi ThankYou points can transfer to the retail partner, Shop Your Way. Shop Your Way allows you to redeem points for gift cards. 

Citi ThankYou points transfer to Shop Your Way at a ratio of 1:10, meaning 1 ThankYou point becomes 10 Shop Your Way points.

How to transfer Citi ThankYou Points

To begin the process of transferring your Citi ThankYou points, visit thankyou.com.

Once there, select the Travel menu, then Points Transfer. 

You'll be redirected to a page with a list of all Citi's transfer partners. Next to each transfer partner, you'll see the transfer ratio, including if it varies by card (as the JetBlue partner ratio does below).

After finding the desired transfer partner, click the Sign In button. You'll be asked to link your airline loyalty account number here.
