    Our take

If you’re a business owner who wants to earn travel rewards, but doesn’t want to have to bother tracking a bunch of bonus categories or checking off a laundry list of statement credits to use, then the Capital One Spark Miles for Business may be a good fit.

Capital One Spark Miles for Business Review

card_name is a great option if you’re looking for a business travel credit card. Its current welcome offer is: bonus_miles_full.

The card allows you to earn 2 Miles per dollar (Capital One calls its points currency “miles”) on every purchase, which makes earning points simple and straightforward. You’ll be able to transfer those points to Capital One’s network of 15 transfer partners, which include some great airlines to get a free seat on a flight.

Earning points with Capital One Spark Miles for Business

The Capital One Spark Miles for Business card earns “Miles,” which is Capital One’s name for transferable points.

    This card lets you earn:

    • 2 Miles per dollar on every purchase
    • 5 Miles per dollar on hotels, vacation rentals and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel

Redeeming points with Capital One Spark Miles for Business

You can redeem your Capital One Miles for a statement credit to cover a previous travel purchase, but the best way to use your Miles (points) is by transferring them to one of Capital One’s travel partners

Capital One has more than a dozen transfer partners that you can transfer your miles to at a 1:1 ratio. Some of our favorites include Flying Blue (the loyalty program of AirFrance), Turkish Miles & Smiles, Avianca Life Miles, Air Canada Aeroplan, and British Airways Executive Club.

    Our take

Great reward currency, but no Trusted Traveler Program statement credit.

A better option if you want to earn travel points but not pay any annual fee.

    Ink Business Preferred®

If you’d prefer to earn Chase Ultimate Rewards points instead of Capital One Travel points, consider the card_name. It has a great welcome offer: bonus_miles_full. While the annual fee is comparable, the Chase Ink Business Preferred does not offer a credit for Global Entry, TSA PreCheck, or NEXUS.

You could also consider Ink Business Unlimited or Ink Business Cash, but these earn traditional cash-back rewards cards. There’s a way to use their rewards for travel, but it involves holding other cards and moving the points.

The Blue Business® Plus Credit Card from American Express

card_name similar rate: 2X Membership Rewards Points per eligible $1 spent.

American Express offers a great range of travel partners, some of which are the same as Capital One, but some unique ones like Delta, Hawaiian Airlines, Marriot and Hilton.

It’s worth noting that The Blue Business® Plus Credit Card from American Express carries annual_fees , but it also does not come with a credit for Trusted Traveler Programs.
